Duldig Studio Museum + Sculpture Garden
The Duldig Studio invites you into the former home, garden, and studio of internationally recognised sculptor Karl Duldig (1902–1986) and his wife, artist, designer, and inventor Slawa Duldig (née Horowitz) (1902–1975).
What began as a private family residence became a vibrant creative hub, and since 2002 has welcomed the public as a house museum, sculpture garden, and art gallery. Stepping through its doors is like entering another time, an intimate, authentic setting where art is not only displayed but lived with.
Programs and experiences
The Duldig Studio is a place to learn, make, and connect. We offer:
- guided tours that weave together art, history, and personal stories
- education programs for schools, linked to curriculum in art, history, and design
- clay workshops and school holiday activities for all ages
- lectures, talks, and exhibitions exploring the Duldigs’ legacy and contemporary creativity.
We also participate in major cultural events, including Open House Melbourne and heritage festivals, and collaborate with artists, historians, and community groups.
