Exploring Digital Art In Procreate

vqh2bS_Procreate-workshop

Colour, Light & Story is a hands-on digital art workshop designed to introduce students to the creative and technical possibilities of Procreate, one of the most versatile illustration tools for iPad. Throughout this program, participants will gain a solid foundation in digital drawing workflows while exploring how colour, light, and visual storytelling come together to shape expressive artwork.

Across eight guided sessions, students will learn to navigate the Procreate interface, work with layers, brushes, and blend modes, and understand how digital textures and colour palettes influence mood and identity in an illustration. The workshop integrates both technical instruction and artistic exploration, offering a friendly and supportive learning environment for beginners and emerging digital creators.

Our final project focuses on building a digital portrait, where each participant will apply different textures, colour schemes, and illustration styles to create a unique and personal visual piece. By the end of the workshop, students will have not only developed a complete portrait ready for print, but also expanded their understanding of digital art as a powerful medium for storytelling, experimentation, and self-expression.
