Pre-accredited Literacy and Numeracy for Early Childcare Level 1

Gain vocationally relevant skills through practical, hands-on learning activities.

This foundational course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge to enrol in TAFE, begin a Certificate III Traineeship in Early Childhood Education and Care, or advance your pre-accredited studies by enrolling in the Early Childhood Education and Care: Level 2.

You will learn in a simulated childcare setting, covering theory, practical skills, literacy, numeracy and employability skills.

Topics covered:

• workplace routines
• OHS policies and procedures
• health and wellbeing
• cultural awareness
• administration
• effective communication.

Program length: 80 hours.

When you complete this course, you can continue your studies in the Early Childhood Education and Care: Level 2 at Prahran Place.
