Basil Street Park

Aerial view of Malvern East temporary park site

The City of Stonnington is building a temporary park at Basil Street, Malvern.

The City purchased a portion of the East Malvern RSL with the plan to convert the land into public open space. The sheds, shelters and wall have now been demolished as the site is prepared for temporary landscaping.

The strategic long-term development for this parcel of public open space is part of the larger Kooyongkoot (Gardiners Creek) masterplan delivery. However, we are building a temporary park so the community can enjoy the benefits of the open space.

We recognise works of this nature will cause some inconvenience. Every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum, and we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
