Planning permit for business

If you have a business, you may need to apply for a Planning Permit if you plan to:

  • carry out building works
  • display advertising signage
  • increase operating hours
  • reduce the number of parking spaces
  • change the use of the building.

The requirement for a Planning Permit is based on the zoning of the land, and specific planning controls on how the land can be used. You can search the planning controls affecting your business on our interactive map.

How to apply

  • elevations of any proposed external building and works and signage.
