About the artist

Emma Coulter encompasses painting and sculpture into site-specific installations using the intersection of colour and space. Her vibrant works can be seen throughout Melbourne, including the spatial-deconstruction artwork that wraps around the Metro Tunnel's building facade in central Melbourne. Emma's works have been exhibited nationally and internationally at numerous institutional, commercial and artist-run spaces and in the public domain.

About the work

Emma's work on the wall of the Bert Healy Pavilion in Malvern East aims to reinvigorate the space by using highly chromatic geometric shapes on the surface of an everyday community building. Emma's work creates a sense of direction and progression, bringing colour, fun and life to the space.
