Our free four-week sustainable cinema series returned to Stonnington in 2022, bringing a selection of family-friendly and sustainability-focused films to Malvern Gardens and Central Park. Held over four weekends in January, this event provided an opportunity for the community to come together to sit back, relax, learn and be entertained by some of the best environmental films and documentaries around.
This year's Green Screen encouraged participants to bring along a zero-waste picnic and travel sustainably to the event with free bike health checks on offer.
In January 2022, we were excited to present the return of Sunset Sounds — an one-night-only free music event in Prahran's Victoria Gardens!
Delivering the best live music line up from emerging and established artists, this year's event saw the likes of Kaiit, Kee'ahn and PBS DJ Elle Young grace the stage, bringing live music to just one of Stonnington's well-loved parks.

The Roola Boola Children’s Arts Festival is held annually throughout the mid-year school holidays for children under the age of twelve and their families.
The festival presents an interactive and dynamic program of performance, workshops and activities in theatre, magic, circus, dance, music, craft and more. Roola Boola takes its name from an Irish phrase meaning 'boisterous fun'.
Now in its eighth year, the multi-disciplinary Glow Winter Arts Festival illuminates historic Central Park with specially commissioned immersive light works in August.
Audiences are invited to enjoy four luminous evenings set to take them on a spectacular journey through large scale installations and interactive experiences that ignite the imagination from twilight until after-dark.
Spring into Gardening is one of Stonnington’s longest running events. It celebrates all things Spring in Stonnington’s beautiful parks and gardens.
While the event’s primary focus has always been on gardening, in recent years this has evolved to incorporate sustainable living and wellness. The day consists of keynote presentations and demonstrations by gardening and sustainability experts, market stalls, a plant giveaway, live entertainment and food offerings.
Christmas at Central Park and Carols at Como Park are Stonnington’s free, family friendly Christmas concerts. These events feature a dazzling program of festive music and entertainment with some of Australia’s finest talent.
